Cromarty's Victoria Hall, just before the close of voting, 5th of May 2011. Part of my "year in the life" photo essay about this small Highland Town, the photo title is based on the Ursula K. Le Guin's award winning SF short story - The day before the revolution - which describes the quietness and emptiness of the 24 hours before a revolution that fundamentally and irreversibly changes everything.
Like the Lib Dems being wiped out in Mainland Highland, and the SNP gaining an absolute majority in the Scottish Parliament.
Who would have seen that coming?
